Shameless Commerce: Review of the Broken Trowel

On Friday while visiting M’s parents, we stopped at a Tractor Supply store where I bought a live trap for the groundhog that still lives near our garden and an eGrip trowel made by Corona Clipper Inc. for digging thistles out of our yard.

I wreaked havoc on two thistles before it broke.

    Just came across your post and wow, those must have been some tough thistles. While many gardeners had used the same tool with great success, this is indeed unfortunate and I'm sorry to hear this happened. Especially when it says "unbreakable" right on the handle. If you haven't already, please call Corona Clipper customer service line at (800) 234-2547 and we would be happy to replace the tool or get you something different. I'll also forward a link to your post to the product group so they are aware of the problem.     I called. The lady put me on hold when I was starting to explain the situation, and then came back: "Did you find the model number yet?"

    I explained more, and she said, "We don't have a Chris Sabbarese who works here. Hold on."

    I listened to more tinny music, then: "Sir? May I have your name and address? We'll ship it June 1st."

    Yippee!

    Yikes! Sorry my name didn't get you very far in the customer service process! I only recently began working with the product group and I had forwarded the link to your post directly to the VP of marketing so they would be aware of it.
